Briana Babineaux | Jacob's Song

11 December 2016

This song is called Jacob's song by Briana Babineaux. It features on her debut album and has such an amazing message of praise and worship.

The chorus as states;
I wont let go till youbless my soul till youchange my nameI'm no longer the same.
It draws inspiration from the story of Jacob, who in Genesis 32 wrestled with God. God blessed him and changed his name to Israel. A change had taken place.

Testimony Tuesdays | Dee McIntosh

6 December 2016

I received Christ around 5 years ago.

I always knew He was there but I didn’t know Him. I grew up in church til the age of 14, when I stopped going. Previous to that I had to go, it wasn’t an option. It was a Methodist church. I used to find it so boring and hated going.

I was baptised 4 years ago. My experience of church is quite mixed with both positive and negative. However, I go for the Lord and not for socialising.

My life has changed for the better. Bad things can still happen to Christians but the mindset I now have and the comfort from the Lord makes you deal with things better. You see life and the value of things for what they are. I feel so much more thankful. I don’t have all that I want but I have well more than what I need.

Dee is a business woman who owns her own Beauty Salon, Diamond Dolls Beauty.

Oh Christmas Tree

4 December 2016

The Christmas tree has become a symbol controversy over the years. It is one universal thing displayed in many homes across the globe during the lead up to Christmas.

The Christmas tree is usually an evergreen spruce tree that is decorated with baubles and lights with presents underneath. Pagans have used the Christmas tree for their winter celebrations in which they did more than gift giving. At some point in Christianity, the tree was incorporated into the Christian day of remembrance of Christ birth. Though a different tree from what the pagans used was favoured.

Do you display a Christmas Tree in your home during December?
Do you focus more on the gift giving?

Theresa May| Christians Should Have No Fear

2 December 2016

UK Prime Minister Theresa May during Prime Minister Questions was asked about the rights of Christians in the UK.

A report by the Equalities and Human Rights commission stated that employers were anxious when it came to Christmas for fear of being deemed offensive by others. Theresa May responded that Christians should be able to speak freely in public and at work about their faith without fear.

This is good to hear as although the UK has a very strong Christian background, much has been done to attack those who exercise their faith. There have been court cases, disciplinary meetings where Christians have lost their jobs, prevented from fostering for merely mentioning what their faith says when asked about it. It's December and the Christmas countdown has begun. Yet you will have some difficulty finding a Christmas card in the shops that pertain to the meaning of the Christian holiday.

Christianity is not something to fear it should be embraced. The laws of this and many lands are based on the Bible in principle.

Well done to Theresa May for letting it be known that religious freedom and rights belong to Christians too.
